When Changmin walked through the door, Mi Yeon blacked out.

She awoke a few hours later, although it felt like minutes.

"Oh, Mi Yeon, thank goodness you're okay!" Auntie said.

Mi Yeon rubbed her eyes and looked around. She blinked, and saw Auntie, Uncle, the two strangers and...

He seemed to glow out of everything and everyone around him. He stood out too, his long neck and husky features showing.

Mi Yeon blinked again, to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

  "Changmin ah..."

Auntie ruined her view by waving her hands infront of her face. "Mi Yeon! Mi Yeon!" she pointed at Changmin. "That's who you're marrying."

  Changmin cleared his throat.

Auntie quickly corrected herself. "I mean, that's him." She smiled wide and jabbed another finger to the staircase. "How about you show him your room? Got lots of junk upstairs."

  "Umma-"

But Auntie gave her the 'I don't care what you think just GO' look so Mi Yeon obeyed.

"Uhm, come on, let's go..." Mi Yeon said awkwardly, standing up quickly. She stumbled, but Changmin caught her.

"Let me give you a hand," he said, slipping her arm around his shoulder.

  "I-"

"Oh, Mi Yeon, just let him," Auntie said in a low voice.

Once they got onto the upper level and out of sight and earshot of the others, Changmin let go of Mi Yeon. He brushed off his shoulders and clothes and gave Mi Yeon a disgusted look.

"H-huh?" Mi Yeon was confused. Why was he making a face? Did she smell bad?

"Ugh. I can't stand girls touching me. It's disgusting."

  "Excuse me?" Mi Yeon blurted.

"I said, I don't like girls touching me. It's DISGUSTING. Are you deaf?"

"How can you say that?!" Mi Yeon cried.

"Girls are gross. They're all overly romantic and emotional and they smell awful."

"We are not!" Mi Yeon couldn't help but defend her own gender.

"Uh-huh? Have you smelled yourself before?!"

Mi Yeon narrowed her eyes. She felt like she was talking to another one of those jerks in her class, not Changmin, her -sigh- prince. "That's just plain stupid," she muttered. She huffed.

Changmin rolled his eyes. "You just proved my point right there. Always overreacting for the most stupid reasons ever. They're such a hassle."

"Y-you sexist!" Mi Yeon stammered. She'd never thought or imagined herself ever saying that to Changmin.

Changmin crossed his arms. "It's true."

Mi Yeon covered her face with her hands. Changmin was supposed to be nice, like a prince. So why was he being... not so nice?

Maybe he's just having male PMS or something, Mi Yeon thought, trying to push the bad thoughts away.

"I don't know why my parents are making me do this," Changmin suddenly changed the subject. He stared down the hall. "It's so dumb."

"For once, I agree," Mi Yeon muttered.

"They think I'm going to end up alone. Because I don't like girls."

"Is that why you've never had a girlfriend and your first kiss yet?" Mi Yeon cut in. She couldn't help but wonder.

"Is that any of your buisness?" Changmin growled.

  "Well, I was only wondering..."

"I did have a girlfriend. But I-I just don't want to talk about her." Changmin cleared his throat. He noticed Mi Yeon staring at him with curious eyes. "What are you looking at?"

  "Nothing..."

  "Then bug off."

  "Fine."

  They both looked away.

"Oh and also," Changmin said. "This relationship will be kept secret, okay? I don't want the press finding out about this."

"Done," Mi Yeon replied in a low voice.

  And that was that.

"Changmin ah, what's wrong?" Mi Yeon asked. "Why are you not who I thought you would be? You are demanding, annoying, rude, and sexist. Princes don't have those qualities." She stroked his smiling face and made a sour face. "You're treating me like dirt."

"Please, Oppa, tell me you're just pretending to be all mean because you're insecure. Please." Mi Yeon groaned. "What's the point? He's probably like this a lot. I can't believe it."

She threw a pillow over her face and screamed.

The next day at school, Mi Yeon was looking at Changmin's head the whole lesson.

"Ms Nam! Pay attention!" Teacher yelled for the millionth time.

"Huh? Oh Oh sorry, Teacher." Mi Yeon sighed and stared at Changmin some more.

It was weird. Mi Yeon couldn't figure it out. He was so nice, and so sweet and polite at school... every boy hated his guts. But when she was with him... he was cold. Ice cold.

I think there's something wrong with me, she thought sullenly.

  "MS NAM...!"

Changmin turned around in his seat to look at Mi Yeon. Everyone did. Her face was burning.

He stared at her for a moment, and his lips curled up a little.

  He was smiling? What for?

"If you don't pay attention again, you're in detention!" Teacher shouted, his plump round face beginning to turn red and perspire.

But Mi Yeon wasn't listening anymore. She stared at Changmin some more.

"Ms Nam did you hear what I said?"

  "Yes," Mi Yeon replied absentmindedly.

  "Then LISTEN."

Mi Yeon nodded and smiled dreamily.

Mi Yeon sat alone at lunch. She didn't have any friends, so she usually spent her time alone.

Changmin, who was on the other side, had a truckload of people sitting with him.

Mi Yeon picked at her food and watched them as they all laughed at the same time. She had a sudden urge to sit with them. She picked up her container and walked over to them. She cleared her throat.

  They all turned, including Changmin.

  "May I... sit with you?"

People looked at each other and laughed.

  "Get lost Mi Yeon."

  "You don't belong here!"

  "Yeah, no one wants you!"

Everyone laughed and kept right on insulting her.

Mi Yeon could feel tears in her eyes. She looked at Changmin, who was just sitting there, staring at her with a blank face. His eyes looked different, almost sympathetic.

Then her vision blurred. Hot tears spilled down her cheeks.

"O-okay," she said in a shaky voice. She turned around and began to walk back to her desk, when she tripped over a chair leg and sent her lunch flying.

  Everyone laughed again.

  "Good one, Mi Yeon!"

Mi Yeon scurried to her seat and put her head down on her desk.

Oppa... you really aren't a prince, after all.
